Everyone tells you that popping pimples is bad, but sometimes it’s a little too tough to keep your hands off a pimple, especially the ones with visible gunk at the surface of the spot.

And, while popping a pimple isn’t the worst thing you could do, there are certain pimples you should absolutely avoid messing with, especially the ones that look angry, red, and are deep in the skin.

These deep, inflamed pimples don’t typically have a whitehead that you can easily squeeze. Deep pimples pop up as dead skin, oil, and bacteria accumulate deep in the skin creating the irritated, painful blemish. And, trying to pop it can run the risk of pushing all that gunk deeper.

On top of that, applying too much pressure and struggling to pop deep pimples can make swelling worse and increase the chances of scarring.

What can you do about deep pimples?

So if you find yourself confronted with these angry-looking, deep pimples, what you can do (aside from NOT popping it) is patch it.

Our new EraZit Magnesium Microneedle Patch is made with Magnesium to help calm inflammation and redness and pull out gunk from deep pimples. Apply EraZit on a deep, inflamed pimple to help reduce its size and speed up the healing time with the added benefit of preventing finger-picking.

What’s different about EraZit?

For starters, the EraZit Magnesium Microneedle Patch has solid microneedles made with Magnesium. While most microneedle patches are made with dissolving microneedles, EraZit has non-dissolving microneedles to continuously deliver Magnesium straight to the pimple to effectively minimize the spot.

The patch itself is made with Hydrocolloid, Magnesium, and Magnesium Oxide to absorb any gunk that comes out of the pimple and reduce inflammation. While Hydrocolloid is well known in the pimple care space, Magnesium is a bit of an underdog ingredient but has multiple benefits in helping target deep pimples.

With its anti-inflammatory properties, Magnesium is known to minimize oil and reduce redness. In using Magnesium to treat a deep, inflamed pimple this ingredient can help calm swelling and redness. Magnesium Oxide, on the other hand, helps balance pH and absorbs oil to help boost the pimple’s healing process, further helping to reduce the size of deep, inflamed pimples.

Hydrocolloid, Magnesium, and Magnesium Oxide together deliver a 1,2 punch to deep pimples as the Magnesium helps calm inflammation while Hydrocolloid absorbs gunk to help flatten the spot.

How to Use:

Each EraZit Magnesium Microneedle Patch pack comes with 6 patches and each patch has 18 non-dissolving microneedles. Since pimples don’t just pop up on the face, you can also use the patch on any deep pimples that pop up on the body (like the back and chest).

Here’s how to best use the EraZit patch:

  1. Start by thoroughly cleansing the skin and then pat dry.
  2. Remove the patch from the tray.
  3. Apply the patch with the microneedles centered on the pimple and gently press down for 5 to 10 seconds.
  4. Leave on for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. Remove the patch and discard.

Lastly, if you find that the pimple persists after one patch, you can always apply another until the pimple reduces in size.
