Whether you’re looking to target clogged pores or you just need a good daily cleanser, our Pore Cleanser with Niacinamide can be a great option for you especially if you are prone to acne, clogged pores, or oily skin.

As a pore-focused cleanser, it helps target pore-clogging elements like dirt, excess oil, and dead skin cells. Keeping the skin clear of debris in turn helps prevent pores from getting clogged up with gunk.

Keep in mind, you don’t want to squeeze and pick at your pores as a way of treating clogged pores. Constantly squeezing at your pores in this way can damage the skin, stretch out your pores, and potentially introduce bacteria from your hands to your skin (that can also lead to breakouts).

Although it will take time and consistency to work, adopting a pore care routine can help keep your pores clear and as a bonus it definitely won’t hurt as much as squeezing your pores does.

Who can use the Pore Cleanser

Although our Pore Cleanser is best for those with oily, acne-prone skin, it can also work for most other skin types.

The bubbly/foamy texture of the Pore Cleanser also makes it great for anyone who likes to wear makeup. So if you like to double cleanse, use your oil or balm cleanser first then massage in the Pore Cleanser to help remove any lingering makeup.

And, although our cleanser touts Salicylic Acid as a key ingredient, it also includes hydrating ingredients like Aloe and Hyaluronic Acid to prevent stripping the skin of any essential oils. So even with dry skin you won’t have issues using this foamy cleanser.

What’s in the Pore Cleanser

As a gently exfoliating cleanser, the Pore Cleanser is made with Salicylic Acid and Niacinamide to help nourish the skin. Here’s a quick breakdown on the pore-friendly ingredients:

Niacinamide

As a multi-faceted ingredient, Niacinamide helps improve the look of enlarged pores and also helps even tone and nourish the skin.

Salicylic Acid

Salicylic Acid helps break up the excess sebum and dead skin cells that get trapped in pores to help essentially “flush” out the gunk.

Hyaluronic Acid

As an “it” girl in skincare, Hyaluronic Acid is known for its hydrating abilities and as a result helps the skin feel smooth, not tight and dry.

Aloe

Often used for its ability to calm sun burns, Aloe deeply moisturizes the skin and can help soothe the feel of any discomfort (hence its use for sun burns).

The exfoliating ingredients in this cleanser are balanced out with the hydrating and nourishing ingredients so your skin won’t feel tight or uncomfortable after cleansing.

How else can you use the Pore Cleanser

First off, as a daily cleanser, you just need to apply it to dry skin to effectively activate the foamy texture. Massage it into the skin for at least 30 seconds then rinse.

Aside from this conventional use of our Pore Cleanser, it also functions as a face mask. If you’ve already used our Pore Cleanser as a daily cleanser then you may have noticed just how foamy it can get if you just let it sit on your skin for a bit.

To use the Pore Cleanser as a face mask, start off by applying an appropriate amount onto the skin and massaging it in. But, instead of immediately washing it off, let the cleanser sit on the skin for 3 to 5 minutes. During this time you’ll see the cleanser foam up into a thick bubbly mask. Once those 3 to 5 minutes are up, you can wash it off. So, if you want to try out our Pore Cleanser as a face mask, you can use it up to 3 times a week as a clarifying pore mask.

But the Pore Cleanser’s benefits don’t stop there. You can also use it on areas of the body that tend to break out. For example, if you get chest or back acne, you can apply the Pore Cleanser to these areas and let it sit on the skin for a few minutes, then wash it off. In this case you can use the cleanser as needed up to 3 times a week (just as you would use it as a face mask).

Lastly, always remember if you are unsure about whether our Pore Cleanser is right for you, you can always patch test the product before adding it to your routine.
